Melcher-Dallas’ and Twin Cedars’ basketball teams will try to improve on Tuesday’s efforts tonight in separate contests. The Saints will host newcomer in the Bluegrass Conference this season, Orient-Macksburg. Both the Bulldogs’ and Saints’ boys’ and girls’ teams are winless on the season. Over in Bussey, Twin Cedars will be hosting Lamoni in a very special doubleheader. The Sabers’ will be benefitting the family of Derek Springer with different activities at tonight’s game. They will have a silent auction, a meal before the game for a free will offering starting at 4:30 p.m., a three-point shooting contest, and a dance after the boys’ contest. Sabers’ Coach, Alan Stewart says that tonight is really not about basketball. Both schools’ girls’ games are scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
