Two-Semi Accident at Hwy 14 & G76 South of Knoxville Sends One To Hospital

At approximately 2:30 Monday afternoon, multiple agencies were dispatched to a two-semi accident at the intersection of Highway 14 and G76, south of Knoxville. A truck with a grain trailer was eastbound on G76 was hit by a Hy-Vee truck. The Hy-Vee truck ended up in the yard of the property on the northeast corner of the intersection, and the grain truck was blocking the northbound lane. Marion County Sheriff, the Iowa State Patrol and Columbia Fire and Rescue were among those at the scene. The driver of the Hy-Vee truck was transported to Chariton Family Medical Center with apparent non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of the grain truck is unknown.
