Two vastly different teams from a year ago go head-to-head on the basketball courts for the first time in the 2013-14 season tonight when Pella High hosts Pella Christian. Both of the boys’ teams are sitting on five wins to begin play in 2014. The two schools also are shooting well; the Eagles have the edge in that department with a 46% field goal percentage. Pella High assistant coach, Jim Dingeman says that he hopes his Little Dutch can control the pace of the game. On the other side, Eagles’ coach, Larry Hessing says he knows what to expect from Pella. The girls’ teams each bring in a four-win effort from the 2013 part of their schedules. You can hear tonight’s boys’/girls’ doubleheader live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call. Our pregame coverage will start immediately after Focus on the Family at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off of the girls’ game shortly after.
