Carlisle Keeps Knoxville Frustrated On The Hardwood

Carlisle’s inside game proved too much for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad yesterday as the Wildcats beat the Panthers 65-53. Carlisle trailed 19-10 midway through the second quarter when they Wildcats went on a 15-0 run to grab the lead and never relinquish it the rest of the way. Meredith Cunningham had 18 points to lead Knoxville who drops to 5-7 on the season. On the boys side, Knoxville missed 19 lay ups and allowed second and even third chance Carlisle points and fell 77-63. Nathan Winters tallied 13 points to lead Knoxville who fall to 3-8 on the season, both Panthers squads will travel to Albia on Tuesday.
