Central’s women traded basket for basket for pretty much the entire first half, but couldn’t keep up in the second half with Wartburg, falling 86 – 51. The score was 44 – 32 Knights at intermission after Wartburg made 80% of their field goals in the first 20 minutes, and then held Central to just 16% shooting in the second half. Kenzie Vander Molen led all Dutch scorers with 14 points. The Dutch men forced 17 Wartburg turnovers which turned into 22 points, and allowed Central to win 74 – 63 last night. Central only committed nine turnovers themselves while shooting just under 50% for the game. Matt Greenfield led all scorers with 22 points. Both of Central’s teams are 9 – 5, the women are 1 – 2 in league play and the men are 2 – 1. They’ll hit the road again this Saturday afternoon for a test against Loras.
