One of the better games the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team played during their first nine tests this season was their first game against Martensdale – St. Mary’s. The Eagles won that game 59 – 48; three ladies were in double figures and the team as a whole shot nearly 56% from the field. Head coach, Kevin Van Maanen tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that for his girls to duplicate that effort, they’ll each have to find out what their roles are on the team. Van Maanen adds that it will not be easy with the schedule that is ahead of them for the rest of the 2013-14 season. The Eagles’ gals are 4 – 5 and resume their season this Tuesday at Pella.
