The Pella Christian basketball teams will try for their first win of 2014 with a home doubleheader against Norwalk tonight. The Warriors’ girls are coming off of a win over Knoxville on Tuesday, where they scored more than 50 points for the first time this year. Norwalk brings a drag-‘em-out style of offense and a very stingy defense; a combination that is very dangerous to go up against, says Eagles’ coach, Kevin Van Maanen. The Eagles’ are 4 – 6 entering play. On the boys’ side, each team has five wins under their belt. However, Norwalk has been a very disciplined team up to this point, making nearly half of their shots, and turning the ball over less than ten times per game. You can hear tonight’s contest streamed live on KNIAKRLS.com with Justin Webster and Wynne Veenstra voicing over the action. Pregame coverage starts at 5:45 p.m. with tip-off at six. We’ll have a delayed broadcast of the Eagles’ doubleheader on 92.1 KRLS immediately following our coverage of Pella/Knoxville basketball.
