KNIA KRLS has welcomed a student from Pella Christian High School over the winter break. Nate Haveman chose to intern at the radio station as his Winterim internship this year. This is the second year of the Winterim program at Pella Christian High, and Haveman says his goal is to go into radio after he graduates, primarily into sports broadcasting. Haveman has been shadowing KNIA KRLS Sports Director Cory Houser, learning how games are broadcast, and how sports stories are written and produced. He has also been observing in the production room, watching and learning how live broadcasts are done for each of our programs.
