Dallas Center-Grimes brought two teams into Knoxville and dominated the Panthers in both games last night. The girls fell 74-44, the Fillies broke the game open with a 15-1 run the last 5:23 of the second quarter to lead at the half 38-14. Knoxville placed two players in double figures as Meredith Cunningham tallied 15 points and Ashley Hawkshead had 11. On the boys side, Dallas Center-Grimes steadily pulled ahead in the first half and essentially finished off the Panthers with a 12-0 run to start the second half to win going away 78-45. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS at the half with the deficit only 12, he told his players there was a chance. Nolan Wallace had 11 points to pace Knoxville. The Panther girls fall to 5-6 on the season and 2-5 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, while the boys fall to 3-7 and also 2-5 in the conference. Both teams will travel to Carlisle today.
