So far, the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad has seen only zone defenses this season. Teams know the Panthers are shooting only 25% from three-point range, so if the opponents can force Knoxville into shooting from the outside they may have an advantage. However, Coach Jim Utiermarkt knows after the season restarts on Tuesday, his team will see teams that will play more man-to-man defense. He says they have yet to have game experience with man-to-man defense, and only can simulate it in practice. Knoxville is 5-2 on the season and will travel to Norwalk next Tuesday.
