The year 2014 has been a great year for Pella High basketball thus far. The Dutch kept on rolling on Saturday, sweeping PCM in Monroe. The girls’ won 67 – 48, with three starters scoring in double figures. Mackenzie Gustafson and Jessica Holterhaus dumped in 14 and Marissa Borgerding added ten. Pella’s boys used a 28-point second quarter to win by ten over the Mustangs, 70 – 60. Isaac Naaktgeboren had a huge night, scoring 31 points, grabbing 13 rebounds and coming up with five blocked shots. Logan Gillman for the Mustangs had 30 to lead the way while Devon Woody had ten. Pella’s boys improve to 10 – 2, the girls are 9 – 4; PCM’s girls drop to 9 – 5 and the boys are 10 – 2. PCM goes to South Hamilton and the Dutch head to A-D-M on Tuesday.
