The State Library of Iowa recently awarded the Pella Public Library a Library Technology Grant Award in the amount of $1,500 for the development of a collaboration room. The funds will be used to convert a study room into a technology-friendly meeting space. Library users will be able to interactively work together by sending individual computer screens to a large monitor installed in the room. Additional funds for completion of the room will be provided by the Friends of the Pella Public Library. Library Director Wendy Street says they are very excited to receive this grant. The new room will be accessible to all community members, and will give them greater opportunities to educate and interact with one another.
