The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team fell to Southwest Valley on Friday night, 68-42. The Trojans headed to the locker room down 36-25 and were unable to close the gap. Junior Kennedy Core led all Trojans with 22 points on the night. Pleasantville falls to 1-10 on the season. The Pleasantville boys took down Southwest Valley 67-38 to extend their win streak to three games on Friday night. Though Pleasantville has won seven games on the season, Head Coach Tom Wilkins believes his team has yet to play to their best ability. The Trojans improve to 7-3 on the year. Both the girls and boys team will look for their next win on Monday when they play host to Albia.
