Twin Cedars’ basketball teams had two different nights on the court yesterday. The girls dropped 48 – 42 to Moravia; Brittney Roby continued her season-long tear with 24 more points last night. The Saber boys won 71 – 27 in dominating fashion. Otis Roby had 19 points and Coy Moore dropped in 14 for the Sabers, who have won their last seven-in-a-row. Melcher-Dallas had a disappointing night on the hardwood. The girls fell to Ankeny Christian, 62 – 51. Hannah Wilson scored 14 points and Jessi Anderson grabbed eleven rebounds to highlight the Saints’ night. The boys were thumped 93 – 40 in their game. Twin Cedars’ and Melcher-Dallas’ girls’ records are now 6 – 8; the Sabers’ boys improve to 10 – 4 while the Saints fall to 3 – 10, and each are back in action for one last test before the Bluegrass Conference tournament this Friday night.
