With the Bluegrass Conference tournament approaching rapidly as the end of January draws closer, Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars play one-another tonight trying to fight for a higher seed. The Saints’ girls have been on a roller coaster ride through 11 games, sitting with a 5 – 6 record, and they haven’t lost more than two games in a row this season. The Sabers’ girls have jumped on the back of Brittney Roby, who has accounted for more than half of the team’s points on average, scoring nearly 20 per game. In the boys’ contest, Melcher-Dallas snapped a six-game losing streak last Tuesday with a win over Moravia, while the Sabers are trying to win their season-high fourth game in a row. The Saints and Sabers’ girls begin their contest tonight at six.
