Holding a team to 16 points usually results in a win, and it absolutely did for the Melcher-Dallas girls’ basketball squad last night, as they won 43 – 16 over Moulton-Udell. Jessi Anderson scored 12 points and Hannah Wilson dumped in 11 to lead the way for the Saints. The Melcher-Dallas boys had a 50 – 47 lead after the third quarter in their game, but unfortunately, the wheels fell off late in the fourth and they lost 74 – 55. The difference was just five with just four minutes left in favor of the Eagles, who went on a big run to pull away late. Troy Lee and Chase Wetterling both had monster games, scoring 23 points apiece for the Saints, who fall to 3 – 9 on the year, while the girls improve to 6 – 7. Ankeny Christian is next on their schedule this Tuesday.
