The National Weather Service reports that bitterly cold wind chills are expected to continue across much of north central Iowa through tonight. An weak weather system will drop southeastward through the state late Wednesday night into Thursday bringing a chance for mainly light snow to much of the northern half of Iowa. One to 2″ of snowfall will be possible across north central Iowa, with lighter amounts expected toward the Highway 30 corridor. Light snow may mix with rain or freezing rain across southern Iowa, with no snow or ice accumulation expected.
