Already facing each other for the second time this season, both Central Decatur and Pleasantville’s basketball teams get down to business in 2014 with a doubleheader tonight. The Cardinals’ girls prevailed over the Trojans in their first meet-up in December, 72 – 43. Trisha Kunze and Kennedy Core combined to score 38 of those 43 points. The Trojans got off to another bad start, trailing 19 – 3 after the first quarter. The Pleasantville boys had little problem with the Cardinals in their first game this season, winning 68 – 42. However, Coach Tom Wilkins says that Central Decatur, like a fine wine, has only gotten better with time. You can hear tonight’s Pride of Iowa Conference match-up live on KNIAKRLS.com with Kris Krug and Ed Bull providing the play-by-play. Pregame coverage starts at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off at 6:15.
