Despite a win in Grinnell’s Indoor Invitational, the Central men’s track team fell five spots to number 16 in the most recent indoor national track rankings for Division III schools. Eli Horton had a career-best in the 3,000 meter run while Eric Larson stayed hot in his multi-event platforms. Meanwhile, on the wrestling circuit, junior Tyler Lowy is still ranked nine in the country at 197 pounds and is 24 – 4 on the season. Central wrestles tonight for seventh place in the conference against Simpson, while the Dutch track and field team will split up this weekend; some will compete in the Tufts Cupid Challenge in Medford, Massachusetts, another group will compete in the Boston Scarlet and White Invitational, and the rest at the Monmouth Invitational in Illinois.
