Battling injuries and a rough stretch of games that has dropped their record from 9 – 3 to 9 – 12, the Central women’s basketball team is still keeping their heads up. Bry Pierce and Kaitlin Stump, two key members of the team, will not play the rest of the year, and since their departure, the Dutch have been – and still are – searching for their offensive identity. Coach Chelsea Petersen says that her team, though, is trying to stay positive. Central can still make the Iowa Conference tournament if they win their last four games of the season. They’ll need some help, but it is possible. Step one is to beat Buena Vista at home tomorrow night.
