Central basketball heads back to Dubuque this afternoon for an affair with the Spartans. The Dutch women broke a nine-game losing streak in the conference to get to double-digit wins for the second straight year on Wednesday night, and are looking for a measure of revenge against Dubuque, who edged them by one, 53 – 52 on January 11. Dubuque’s men faltered for the second time this season to Loras, which, with Central’s win over Buena Vista the other night, put the two schools into a tie at the top of the league at 9 – 2. Now that they are in a position to perhaps earn a first round bye, Coach Craig Douma says their overall goals still haven’t changed. Central’s women will tip-off with the Spartans first today at 2:00 p.m.
