After a brief stint out of the top ten, the Central men’s track and field team has catapulted in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III indoor national poll. The Dutch were helped by big performances in Massachusetts at the Tufts University Cupid Challenge and the Boston University Scarlet and White Invitational on Saturday. Central’s distance medley relay team, featuring Austin O’Brien, LJ Lipscomb, Drew Jackson and Eli Horton ranks third nationally. Wartburg is the only other Iowa Conference school in the Top 25, coming in at 17th. Central is next in action today in two separate meets; one group will be in Lincoln for the Nebraska Tune-Up and another at the Iowa Invitational in Iowa City. Those meets will start at 12:30 and 4:30 p.m., respectively.
