Saving his best performance of the year for last, Pella Christian junior, Josh Posthuma’s efforts almost pushed his team into the substate final. Though the Eagles did come up short to Albia, the junior put up career-high numbers; scoring 14 points and coming down with a game-high 16 rebounds for his first varsity double-double. Coach Larry Hessing says the beginning of the season was in doubt for Josh, but the progression and steps he took over the course of the year were anything but backwards. Posthuma was the fourth highest scorer on the team with nearly seven per game, and grabbed about four rebounds per contest, too. The Eagles finished the season 10 – 14 overall.
