Approximately ten minutes after nine Thursday morning, a fire broke out at Janco Industries in Sully. Owner Joel Jansen tells KNIA/KRLS News that it started with an explosion upstairs on the east end of the building. Jansen says that 38 employees were in the facility, and no one was injured. Jansen met with employees this morning, as they have already constructed a makeshift office on site, and are expected to be back to work next week. Jansen concluded by telling KNIA/KRLS News that they won’t give up, they will rebuild and move on. The Sully, Kellogg, Lynnville, and Newton Fire Departments, along with the Newton HazMat team responded to the scene.
