There are still tickets available for the Melcher-Dallas after prom fundraiser this evening. The evening begins at 6 with a spaghetti dinner, then a raffle at 7:30. At 8:30, country singer and Iowa native Jason Brown will take the stage in the high school gym, with Greg Valentine and Craig Willoughby, who both have ties to Melcher-Dallas. Originally from Pella, then from Pleasantville, Brown has performed for thousands of fans from the Midwest all the way to Corpus Christi, Texas, including at several Pleasantville 4th of July celebrations. After Prom Committee Member Lori Davis says the gym can hold 500 to 700 people, and they are hoping to sell out the show.

Tickets can be purchased at the Melcher-Dallas Library, or by contacting Lori Davis at 641-218-8426. Prices are $15 for the show alone; $10 for the spaghetti dinner, or $20 for dinner and the show.
