This is the perfect time of the season to have the hot hand shooting. Entering the district final with Grinnell tomorrow night, Pella High has been scoring in bunches, and they have several players that can pull the trigger from outside while still having a dominating presence down in the post. Pella has scored at least 70 points in 14 of their last 15 games. Isaac Naaktgeboren has been a big part of that over the last several weeks. He’s averaging over 18 points per game, but has scored almost 30 per game (just under 29, to be exact) in Pella’s last three games. Coach Mark Core says he’s a threat from all over the court. In Pella’s last game with Grinnell, three players scored in double-digits, led by, who else, Isaac Naaktgeboren who had 24. Tomorrow night’s district final is in Newton and is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
