A 47 year old Knoxville man was arrested Thursday on charges of burglary third degree, prostitution, driving with a revoked license and manner of conveyance. Paul Dean Pearson was arrested after a Marion County woman arrived home and found him in her house; she called police and reported that he told her he would like to get to know her better, and offered money for sex. When officers stopped him, using the vehicle description the victim gave, Pearson was found with more than $2700 cash, and a pair of women’s underwear. Officers also confirmed Pearson’s drivers license was revoked for prior alcohol related convictions, and a 12 gauge shotgun and three 12 gauge shells were found on the passenger seat of his truck as well.

The defendant did admit to being inside the house, and stated the door was open so he just walked in. He also stated he did not know the victim. Officers ran a breathalyzer test, which registered under .08.

Pearson was taken to Marion County Jail.
