Knoxville officially received 5 inches of snow in this latest round of winter weather. The National Weather Service says little additional snowfall is expected, but gusty north winds will continue. North winds of 15 to 25 MPH with higher gusts will cause significant blowing and drifting snow, making travel very hazardous. Bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills will follow in the footsteps of this storm today into Thursday with wind chills falling as low as -25 to -35 F. No significant warming is expected through the weekend and more snow chances return by Friday night and Saturday.
