At the Knoxville City Council meeting this past week, a special presentation by Knoxville Fire and Rescue Chief Jim Mitchell was first on the agenda. Chief Mitchell presented Walmart employee Pat Gorman with a Certificate of Achievement. Gorman was the employee that put out the fire that was set at Walmart on February 3, and, Mitchell says, saved the store from much worse damage than was incurred. He thanked Gorman for his quick actions that evening.
