Arlene Worrall, Community Services Officer with the City of Knoxville, says that snow removal enforcement is in effect today. She says between yesterday and today, there are close to 50 properties that have not been cleared. Knoxville’s city code that says snow and ice must be removed from all sidewalks within 24 hours after snow stops falling. As city crews are removing snow, if they find walks that are not cleared and have not been reported, they will clear those as well. All snow removal costs plus an administrative fee will be billed to the property owner.
