Pella High’s boys took down Knoxville late, thanks in part to a 23-point fourth quarter, on their way to a 72 – 60 victory. The Panther boys put pressure on the Dutch into the third quarter as they battled back and forth including 15 second half points from Freshman Trent Davis, who tallied 21 total for Knoxville. Balanced scoring was the theme for Pella as seven players netted at least eight points, led by 21 from junior Isaac Naaktgeboren. The victory improves Pella to 15-3, while the loss drops the Panthers to 6-13. Up next for Pella is another home game Tuesday, this time against Norwalk, while Knoxville has to return to the Tulip City, this time facing Pella Christian.
