It was a different story the second time around last night for PCM when they faced Saydel in Monroe, as the Mustangs handily swept the Eagles in local basketball action. PCM’s girls prevailed 66 – 41; the Mustangs scored as many points in the first quarter, 28, as the Eagles did in the entire first half en route to their victory. Junior Rachel Freland helped to lead the stampede with 20 points and Abbi Gilson bucketed 17. The PCM boys won by almost the exact same score, 63 – 41 over Saydel. Logan Gillman had 22 points and senior Ryan Jennings had 13 of his own for the Mustangs’ boys, who improve to 14 – 4 on the year and the girls move up to 13 – 6. Each team will play North Polk tomorrow night in a game that was originally scheduled for this past Tuesday.
