The PCM girls’ basketball team fell to a very tough North Polk team Saturday, 62 – 44. The boys were able to salvage a split by handily beating the Comets 81 – 59. The Mustangs were down by one after the first period, then outscored the visiting Comets, 47 – 17 over the next two periods. Logan Gillman had 28 points and Dillon Bruxvoort deposited ten for PCM, who are now 15 – 4 overall. They’ll play at Nevada next on Tuesday.
