PCM, Pella Christian Boys Do Battle Again in the Postseason

In what almost seems lately as a “mandatory” match-up in the playoffs, Pella Christian and PCM’s boys basketball teams will once again square off, this time in the district semifinals, with a trip to Oskaloosa and the district finals on the line. The two teams played to a ten-point game their first meet-up way back on December 9; the Mustangs had control for practically the entire game en route to a 61 – 51 victory. Eagles’ Coach Larry Hessing says that both teams have vastly improved since then and the keys to tonight are fairly simple. Coach Fred Lorensen’s gang has had six days off, and he says at this point of the season, you don’t teach anything knew, it’s just about being better. Tonight’s game can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com. Derek Cardwell and Wynne Veenstra have the play-by-play, with pregame coverage starting at 6:00 p.m. and tip-off at 6:30.
