As previously reported by KNIA/KRLS News, an investigation by the Pella Police Department showed that Lincoln James Steele, 21 of Pella, fondled a school aged child and permitted the child to fondle him. Steele was charged with, and pled guilty to two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child, and has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on each count. In addition, when he is released from prison he will be placed on parole for the rest of his life. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says “I am pleased that the defendant entered a guilty plea to this offense and that we were able to spare a very young child from having to testify in court.” Steele remains in custody at the Marion County Jail pending his transport to the Medical & Classification Center at Oakdale.
