The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team was able to claim the Class 1A District 11 championship by taking down Martensdale St Mary’s, 64-46 on Thursday night. The Trojans used a 19-point second quarter to jump out to a 35-19 halftime lead and never looked back. Junior Trever Zoss finished the night with 18 points to lead the Trojans who did not trail the entire game. Even with a huge lead in the second half, Head Coach Tom Wilkins knew his team had to play hard the entire game. The Trojans will be in Indianola to play Lamoni in the Sub-State finals on Saturday night.
