The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team dominated the Eagles of Ankeny Christian Academy 65-40 on Tuesday night to keep their season alive. The Trojans outscored the Eagles 19-4 in the second quarter and used an 11-0 run to head into the locker with a score of 33-19. Pleasantville was able to hit a season high eight three-point shots on the night en route to the victory. Junior Trever Zoss led all scorers with 18 points on the night. Head coach Tom Wilkins feels Tuesday night’s performance was his team’s best all season. Pleasantville improves to 19-4 on the season and will play Martensdale – St. Mary’s in the district finals tomorrow night.
