Pleasantville Splits Boys’, Girls’ Doubleheader with Mount Ayr

The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team fell to Mount Ayr on Friday night, 62-26. Junior Kennedy Core led all Trojans with 11 points on the night while Trisha Kunze was second with eight. Pleasantville falls to 4-15 on the year. The Pleasantville boys were able to take down the Raiders later in the night, 63-53. After trailing by eight at the break, the Trojans were able to pull away in the second half to secure the victory. Trevor Zoss led the Trojans with 22 points on the night. Head Coach Tom Wilkins feels his team is getting back on track after last night’s victory. Pleasantville improves to 15-4 on the season. Both the boys and girls will hit the road to take on Southeast Warren on Tuesday.
