The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team took down the Defenders of Grandview Park Baptist on Saturday night, 71-62, to advance to the next round of district play. The Trojans stormed out to an 8-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game and would never trail at any point during the match. Senior Dylan Lauer led all Trojans with 27 points on the night while Junior Trevor Zoss finished with 18. Pleasantville improves to 18-4 and will host the next round of districts on Tuesday night when they take on Ankeny Christian Academy at home.
