After a water main break Wednesday, the City of Pleasantville is under a boil advisory. Cory Frank, Environmental Health Program Manager at Public Health recommends affected citizens empty or turn off their refrigerator ice makers and throw out the first full loads of ice as a precaution. Frank also recommends pregnant women and anyone making formula for infants use bottled water as a precaution, rather than boiled water. Pleasantville City Administrator Joe Mrstik says that even though the water was restored late yesterday afternoon, the testing results are not available yet, but Mrstik expects them by Friday morning. The boil advisory remains in effect until further notice. KNIA KRLS News will bring updates as they are made official.
