Sitting on 14 wins, the Twin Cedars’ boys’ basketball team finally picked up school-record number 15 on Saturday night after defeating Maharishi 74 – 46 in the second round of the Class 1A district tourney. The night had an inauspicious start for the Sabers as Otis Roby came down hard on Dylan Springer’s foot which subsequently twisted Roby’s ankle and did not play. It didn’t matter; Dylan Springer scored 30 points and Hunter Embray continued his torrid run with a 22-point evening. Twin Cedars will now play Van Buren in the district semifinals on Tuesday night.
