Probably one of the few games that will get played because of the snow expected throughout our area today, Pella Christian hosts Pella High for the second meet-up between the two teams. The girls played one another close in their first game this season, with Pella winning by five after being down at halftime. The two teams are also participating in Hoops for Hope and Coaches for Cancer as they have in the past when the Dutch and Eagles get together for the second meeting in a season. Pella girls’ coach, Jerod Garland says it should be a special night. Pella Christian’s boys started strong against Pella a few weeks ago, but faltered in the second quarter on the way to a Little Dutch win. Eagles’ coach, Larry Hessing says tonight’s game will be a nice measuring stick for his team.
Tonight’s doubleheader will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Wynne Veenstra on the call. Pregame coverage starts at around 6:00.
