Twin Cedars Plays for District Final Berth

A daunting task in front of the Twin Cedars’ boys’ basketball team this evening in Centerville, as the Sabers must get by a 19 – 3 Van Buren squad to advance to the Class 1A district final. The Sabers’ win on Saturday over Maharishi on Saturday was not without drama; while they were warming up, Otis Roby landed on the foot of Dylan Springer and twisted his ankle and was held out of their contest for precautionary measures. It is unsure whether or not he will play this evening. The Sabers may have to play their best defensive game of the season tonight; Van Buren averages 73 points per game in a considerably tougher conference than Twin Cedars plays in. Tonight’s district semifinal between the Sabers and Warriors is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. tip-off.
