The Little Hawkeye Conference boys golf race will again, like some many seasons before will be one of the toughest prizes to claim in the state. Knoxville Coach Brian Barkey is confident his guys can finish in the top three this season. How tough is it to win? Barkey says it is so tough, it something that motivates his guys all season as one of the biggest goals to attain. The L-H-C also has a decision to make regarding two of the teams. Norwalk and Newton are 4A schools this year, which means their seasons are in the fall. However, according to Knoxville Athletic Director Randy Wilson, 4A schools are allowed ten competitions in the spring. The conference is meeting in April to decide whether to allow both Newton and Norwalk to compete in the spring conference meet. Wilson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he does not know which way the L-H-C will go on that issue.
