Very soon, we’ll be enjoying the sounds of the whirring lawn mowers as they make their way to local golf courses to keep them looking sharp. Pleasantville’s girls’ golf team will begin another march towards a berth in the state tournament in a few weeks, and they will continue preparations this Monday, with warmer weather in the forecast. Regardless of how their first few meets go in April, Coach Dan Calhoun says early on, he’s not entirely focused on how the team finishes or is golfing at the time. He says he’ll be more concerned if the girls are golfing in May the way they golfed the previous month. The Pleasantville girls’ golf team will begin the season on April 14 at PCM.
