Central’s baseball team recorded a pair of victories yesterday in Tucson. The Dutch won 4 – 3 over Dordt College and 9 – 4 over Bethany Lutheran. Jordan Judkins and Adam Ariola each had three hits in the win over the Defenders. The Central softball team, coming in as the number four team in the country, didn’t allow a single run in their season opening games down in Tucson, Arizona. The Dutch blanked Dickinson, 14 – 0 and followed that up with a 7 – 0 thrashing of Baldwin-Wallace. The Dutch got off to about as good of a start as you can imagine, as all nine batters scored in the first inning against Dickinson.
