The No. 12 ranked Central softball team took it to the No. 23 Washington – St. Louis squad, 3 – 2 on Saturday. Sophomore Trisha Smith continued her incredible start to the season; she carried a no-hitter into the fourth and a shutout into the seventh en route to her fifth win. The Dutch followed that up with a 9 – 3 win over St. Scholastica in the nightcap. Central improves to 14 – 4 on the year and they’ll play a doubleheader with a team they slaughtered down in Arizona, Augsburg of Minnesota, later today.
