Just barely having enough to be able to compete as a team, the Pella Christian girls’ golf team does bring some talented golfers onto the course this season. Three girls were on the team last year, while Coach Larry Hessing welcomes two new faces to the squad for 2014. With some of the girls on the team not having played competitive golf before, Coach Hessing says he’s really looking forward to this season to see how far he can help develop his girls’ golf game from the beginning of the season to the time the postseason tournaments come around. The Eagles’ gals will hopefully be on the course on Thursday, April 3 to open up the season at the Pella Golf & Country Club in a triangular meet against Des Moines Christian and Carlisle.
