Like all of the sports at Knoxville, save football, the Panther teams will start play in the South Central Conference next school year. For the Boys Basketball Program, it is an opportunity to play teams that Coach Jeff Larson played against during his high school days. While Knoxville has played Albia, Chariton, and Centerville as non-conference games the past several years, they will now count double. Larson tells KNIA/KRLS the South Central Conference, which had two state tournament teams this year, is no easy road. Other conference teams Knoxville will encounter next season are home and home dates with Davis County, Eddyville-Blakesburg, and Clarke.
