Knoxville’s City Council met Monday evening. The proposed 2014-2015 city budget was first on the agenda, and began with open discussion. Several members of the audience voiced concern regarding a 2003 sidewalk project that is yet unfinished, and Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik will be getting an estimate and drawing up a contract for the remaining areas that have not been fixed. Council approved the budget 4 to 1 The Council also heard a presentation on and approved the contract with Olsson and Associates for the Red Rock Industrial Park and Rail Port feasibility study.
